Another fantastic session with Seanna & Brad!

My neighbor asked me the other day if I would be willing to do some quick shots of her son-in-law before he deployed to Iraq with the National Guard. I felt so honored to spend some time with Megan and Cosmin and his family the day before he was leaving and get some photos of their last day on the lake until he returns home in a year. I will be praying for his safety, and I am so thankful for brave men like him who serve our country and keep us safe. God bless our soldiers.

When Seanna told me she wanted to do a flyfishing e-session I was excited by the challenge, but nervous since I know NOTHING about flyfishing! They were so fantastic! They brought along an extra set of waders and waited for me to slosh my way through the river to get the right angles! I watched them “fish” and took some test shots and then started giving them some direction…things fell into place perfectly! They were up for anything and we got some beautiful results! Here are a few shots from the session, but keep your eyes open, because Seanna and I have some great ideas for round 2 of their session this weekend!

waders are so flattering!

anything to get the shot!
I cannot contain my excitement over the workshop I attended last month at VGallery Haven in Morton, Illinois. It was two all-intensive days of one-on-one mentorship with some of the most well-respected photographers/marketers in the industry. I learned so much…I don’t even know where to begin to implement it all!!!! Here are a few shots compliments of Vicki Taufer!
